Our present.

When we really let God out of the box that we often put Him in and take a step back there is no limit to what we will see. This is something that I am slowly beginning to understand. I do not even realize, I think, how often I am just shoving God into a box. He is more great, just, gracious, loving, knowing than I could ever even fathom. I underestimate God almost every day- this is something that I have been working on lately. I have been constantly praying to help myself broaden my mind to even comprehend a sliver more of my Heavenly Father.
I have really had a chance to see the physical beauty that God has created here at CIT. There are gorgeous mountains, endless colorful trees, and dazzling stars that light up the sky. There is nothing around me right now that is not a glorious awesome testament to how amazing our God truly is.
I am excited to go to Haiti and hopefully many other countries and be able to soak in the beauty that God put around those people. It is amazing to be able to enjoy the artwork that was crafted by the same being that has also crafted our entire story of life.
If I can offer you anything today I hope that you just take a deep breath and gaze out your window. Take a breath and look with an undistorted view. See what God created for you- because He loves you. If that doesn't bring an instant smile to your face, I would be surprised. Whatever it may be- those trees, the food in your garden, the clouds, the fog out in the distance over the mountains, it is all a work of art that was created by The Creator.
Its such a humbling and empowering thought all at once. Embrace what you have been given. In the sermon I attended today the pastor said not to worry about yesterday because it is over, don't worry about tomorrow because we are not there yet. Dwell in the present, because thats just what it is to us, a present from God.
