Just Love

Life is about loving others. No matter where you live that is what we should all be doing. In Haiti it is  so hard to get things done that at times it can be easier to see the love. People say 'love is in the little things', well in Haiti the "little things" are the big things! I have experienced so much love this week.

Love is inviting a friend over for dinner and a slumber party.
Love is sharing your lunch with someone.
Love is building someone an office.
Love is staying up late working on language.

It is so easy for us to get complacent with love, with the way others show love. If I have learned anything in Haiti so far, it is that we should love others as much as we can in that moment, and always be grateful for the love we are given.
Jesus said to love one and other, always. Whether you show love by a big grand gesture, or by simply squeezing someones hand and smiling as they pass you by- the love is the same.

So I challenge you today, jam pack as much love as you can into your day. Help out someone who is struggling, smile at that stranger, lend someone a little extra patience. We are to live as Jesus did and do what He would do, He didn't make the concept difficult for us, just love.
